Aging... It's About the Encore Leadership Briefing
"Aging... It's About the Encore" was the theme of the Care for Elders Leadership Briefing and Luncheon held on November 17, 2010. Elected officials, funders, business executives and other key decision makers gathered at the Houston House of Blues to learn about older adults in Harris County and what they can do to promote health, happiness and support for those in the encore time of their lives.
The presentation, "10 Things You Need to Know About Older Adults in Harris County" provided an overview of key issues facing older adults and presented the audience with options and opportunities for impact at multiple levels. Click here to download the presentation.
This video was previewed for the first time at the leadership briefing. In this video the voice of eight older adults in our community share what they believe to be the best and most challenging part of aging. Watch the video and let us know what you think.
