Welcome New Partner!

Care for Elders is pleased to officially welcome Legacy Community Health Services to the partnership.  Legacy was created when the Montrose Clinic and The Assistance Fund merged in 2005.  By joining forces, they are now able to effectively address the invisible GLBT 60+ community through the SPRY (Seniors Preparing for Rainbow Years) program.  SPRY provides mental health and support services for GLBT persons who are age 60 and older, including assessment, peer support, counseling, case management and psychiatry.

ACTION NEEDED

Calling All Evidence-Based Programs

The Texas Evidence-Based Health Promotion Program Inventory survey is a tool that was developed to help the state gain a better understanding of what evidence-based health promotion programs are currently being implemented across Texas with regards to older adults. Take advantage of the opportunity to let the state know about your program and to provide insight as to what types of technical assistance might be helpful to encourage more evidence-based health promotion programming.  This survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete for each program.
