Purpose

§         Provide input regarding access, availability and quality issues specific to long term care services and systems

§         Provide feedback regarding the strategies that are developed to address identified needs and concerns

§         Respond to strategies developed by Care for Elders Workgroups

§         Recommend strategies for implementation and funding

§         Actively advocate with funders and policy makers for increased support and systems

§         Develop and expand role(s) as strategies are implemented

Participants Needed

§         Stakeholders in Long Term Care services that represent Harris County's geographic, cultural and socioeconomic census

§         Consumers of long term care services

§         Primary caregivers of older adults using services, including spouses and/or caregivers who have jobs outside of these responsibilities

§         Members of groups of peers that can potentially offer additional information around access, availability and quality of services
