Ms. X Regains Independence



Ms. X is a 64 year old immigrant from Spain who came to America on a student visa and obtained a Master’s of Science in Microbiology. After graduating, Ms. X went on to do research for a major hospital in Houston. She then went to Catholic Charities Immigration Department and received assistance obtaining residency. Ms. X was doing well and living the American Dream as an independent woman until unfortunately, she lost her job and was unable to find another job in her field.
