Navigating the Texas Electric Market for Low Income and/or Elderly Customers
Event Date: Wednesday, 07/18/12  1:00 PM
Event Description:

The Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC) is expanding its efforts to reach low-income and elderly customers this summer by offering train-the-trainer events around the state in deregulated communities. You will learn about the deregulated market, the PUC's Powertochoose.org website and how to navigate it, electric payment assistance programs, electric deposit payment options, the PUC's complaint process, and smart meters. The PUC will also bring examples of printed educational materials that can be ordered and distributed to your clients. This forum will be facilitated by Kimberly Gilbertson and Henry Garza, Technical Information Specialists from the PUC.
