Senate Committee on Aging Introduces Bipartisan Bill to Create Nationwide System of Background Checks

ACTION NEEDED! Please write your federal representatives asking them to support S.1577/H.R. 3078, the Patient Safety and Abuse Prevention Act of 2007.  This bill would create a new system that would coordinate abuse and neglect registries, and also add a federal component to the background check by searching the FBI's national database for criminal history records.
