As is true with all pilot projects and initiatives implemented by the partnership, it is our goal to develop, launch, evaluate and "embed" our products and practices. As you might recall, we developed an orientation program for direct care workers in our very early days; and it is now embedded in the curriculum at Houston Community College. We also developed Healthy IDEAS, a depression intervention; and after demonstrating its effectiveness, have embedded it into case management practices across the county and across the country.
It is now time to do the same with Get Ready for Life. We are looking for a "new home" for the program, including the website, its educational tools and resources, and the written promotional brochures/booklets. Please take a look at the site at www.GetReadyforLife.org and see if it would complement your organization's mission. If you are interested in having the Get Ready for Life program or would like to discuss the possibility, please contact Jane Bavineau at 713-685-6506 or jbavineau@shelteringarms.org.
